showing up for your art
This vow is for those of us feeling the stirring, the quickening, the quiet powerful need to {{{{ do the thing }}}} before our time runs out.
I’m not talking about time running out in a panic way but rather the truthful gravitas of limited time in these dear bodies, on this planet, with this unique viewpoint we’ve cultivated living life so far.
It’s time...
- Western culture is actively disassembling, composting, dissolving… and paradoxically the medicine of creativity, art and hope is needed more than ever. Y/our art is needed more than ever.

- This is not about a vow that “I will do a specific art practice for a specific time every day for 100 days or else”. This is not about using a sacred vow like a stick to wack yourself when life happens. This is a vow to be in relationship with your creative spirit. To show up every day and keep following the thread. Whether that moves you an inch or a mile.

We can’t do this alone. Seriously. It will break us. We need the lift of other people. We need their kind eyes and soft shoulders. Sometimes we need each other for a hand up and sometimes we need each other for a gentle press down onto the couch for a rest. We need to know we aren’t alone. This is an all together adventure. And we’re in it together. Your art is vital, my art is vital, our commitment is to it all. Together.
It’s time...
- It’s time because there’s something that’s available when we choose to put down our excuses, and put down the almost it art and instead pick up the thread to y/our art - the one alive enough that makes you a little nervous. What is that art? It’s time to step off the tried path into the untried and find out what’s there.
This adventure is for those who see the thread of your art right there on the ground ready to pick up. Even if you’re pretty sure (like me) that there are surprises in store once we set out. It’s for those who know that it’s only by walking together that we are able to sustain momentum and clear seeing. This is for those who are ready to commit to showing up daily for 100 days. Showing up for a conversation with your art and also a conversation with each other - with all the truthful vulnerability we can muster.
Details on the Structure:
The main structure is daily emails - not “instructions” since obviously everyone’s art will be unique - but inquiry to ground you into your personal commitment to following the conversational thread of your art.
Like most of my courses, there will be a private group on Mighty for us to rest into each other. I absolutely encourage you to share daily, but at a minimum come check in when prompted every ten days. Even online we can sit together as humans have done since the beginning of time, shoulder to shoulder doing the art that is ours to do. Let's lean in.
I create courses because they offer what I need. I desperately need to be making "my art" (whatever it is hiding behind what I think it should be.) I need to be in relationship with you and your creative, generous, authentic spirit. I need to have a structure where I remember the preciousness of this life and hold creativity as my priority. I need this vow.
