Saying Hai

First let me blurt out that I am not a scholar of haiku. Rather I am a devotee of quick potent inspiration. And while writing a poem often feels daunting, there's always time for a playful haiku. Short sweet and playful. First line 5 syllables, second line 7 syllables,  third line five syllables. You can count it out on your hands (even while you’re driving) and the muse definitely knows how to speak in haiku.

one two three four five!

In this eight day course we will be expanding on the practice of haiku with haibun and haiga. Haibun is haiku paired with sensory rich prose. Haiga pairs haiku with simple drawing.

This is not about award winning writing and illustration, it's intended as an Intentional Creativity practice focused on illuminating your own truths. Join me in Saying H(a)i. At the intersection of Haiku Haibun and Haiga we are bound to find surprise connections and personal epiphanies.

Note this course can be done with just pen and paper but the Inktense pens from my Suggested Supplies are delightful!

You'll receive permanent access to the full 8 day course in your library as soon as you register.

(Note: this course is included with any of the ongoing subscription options.)
