• "Jena my words cannot express the GRATITUDE my heart holds for this AMAZING process called THE SERIES!!! To hear that you didn’t keep to any of the planned prompts makes me chuckle I feel like you whirled a vortex of enchantment over all of us to duck and weave into our journey exactly what was needed every step of the way. Just when I thought I could predict the next prompt there was a new twist, a new direction, a new pondering to sit with. I loved how fresh and MUSE driven the path was……This experience has not only got me out of a funk I was in with my painting but inspired the desire to do a whole other SERIES. Thank youuuuuuuuu from the depths of my BEing."
• "As I watched the ebb and flow of my responses to the media, the weather, my mood and my skills, or lack of - there were many surprises along the way. The best came after I decided I had wrecked the canvas. Because it was already "wrecked", I just continued to work the media, layering and playing. Then to my surprise the piece got better and better!"
• "I've taken down all my other paintings to put the series up!  Stepping out of "trying to fix a painting" into ‘let’s play and see" was delightful. Keeping a fluidity and possibly otherness was sooooo refreshing. Using the prompts as the trail pebbles Jena scattered was wondrously nourishing. Gratitude, dear Jena. The Series a menu = sweet, salty, bitter, sour and umami! Umarmt is German for Held/ hugged ‘ In our community space and losing the fear."
• "Shortly after dawn this morning, as sunlight started rising through our eastern windows, my husband happened to look up from his reading chair and was astonished to see one ray of light beaming directly on the lighthouse in the painting on the mantle. When he shared this experience with me later, he said it could only be described as “cosmic”. I never hear him use that term… that’s *my* word, not his.😍 I am in awe of these days with my ten canvases in The Series. This is a reminder of a quote that we do not live in a cosmos (place)…we live in cosmogenesis (process). The ten 8x10” canvases that looked all the same (things) as I unwrapped them in preparation, now have come alive in unique ways, each different, each a relationship, in this unfolding process of Jena’s Series."
• "The Series is a wonderful way to explore acrylic painting. It allows one’s  individually to pour through. The genius of having so many canvases is that one can’t get too caught up and tight as people often do with working just one. It teaches how to let go, just show up and hopefully play."
